Preschool Lessons
"Where did all the animals go"

This lesson was a fun first experience with the preschoolers. This lesson was a guess the animal type of lesson that dealt with letters and pronunciation of those letters. It was really effective at getting their attention due to them being the ones who put the animals on the board and I highly recommend doing this if you know a kid or kids who need help with sounding letters and identifying the letters to words.
"5 little Ducks"

This was a fun math lesson for the kids because it got the kids thinking and counting out loud how many ducks/geese were out of place. This is a good lesson if the kid or kids are first learning how to count and only needs basic numbers. Say the kid or kids are a little more advanced, then this lesson might be too easy for that situation.
"Silly silly Scarecrow"

This was a fun lesson that although did not go fully as planned, was one of my favorite lessons of the whole year. This lesson dealt with moving different body parts that would get pulled out a hat and then reading the phrase on the board and moving the body part that dealt with the phrase. This was definitely my most interactive lesson and really got the kids super excited to do each action. The one thing I didn't see coming was the confusion with some of the words and the kids not being able to read them. The one thing I recommend is that make sure the kids in the lesson can read and understand the words so that the lesson goes smoothly. Even if the kids can't fully read though it's still a fun lesson to do if you skip the reading part that can teach parts of the body.

This was a fun lesson that really got the kids counting and identifying colors. The one downside is the setup because it did take a lot of cutting and coloring to make this happen, but the payoff for this lesson was worth all the work it took to get to that. I recommend this to anyone with kids who can at least count to 10 and have a somewhat knowledge of colors, but other than that this lesson can work for anyone.
"Hot Cocoa Mugs"

This is a really fun winter craft that depending on how well your kid can cut can vary how much the kid does in this activity. All it takes is red or green paper in the shape of a mug, an oval shape for the "liquid", white pom poms or cotton balls, and any extra decorations you want. This craft worked out really well and the kids loved having fake mugs of hot cocoa.
"Cupid's Bow"

This was a really fun craft that would be great to do around Valentine's Day. The majority of the cutting out should be done by the person in charge of introducing the craft due to it being pretty tuff to cut the bow out. Overall this is a fun craft that allows the conversation of who cupid is, and can also introduce greek mythology and lots of fun stories with that. I highly recommend doing this craft and at the end, the kids can use the bow to play pretend.
"The Watering Hole"

This was a fun book to read to the kids because it gave numbers that the kids could also countdown with. The other positive to this book was that each page gave another animal noise to make. This book really kept the kid's attention and allowed them to enjoy a book with the noises they get to make. For the movement in our lesson, we were not able to get to that point of the lesson but I know that it would have got all the kids extremely excited to do it and participate in the relay.
